FAQ
  • How do I get a relationship with nature?
Outside is my happy place. Mother nature has a way of neutrilizing any trapped negative energy. By simply being outside in nature you will feel more relaxed. Do it everyday or every chance you get
  • How do I prepare for my adventure?
Prepare for the most extreme! I am a Colorado native and I have learned that things change fast . Not only the weather! So Always have lots of water or a water filter device. I always have nourishment no matter how long I am planning to be outside. I always have a roll of gauze and an emergancy blanket. Of course dont forget the layers. A waterproof jacket is a must. Proper footwear is very important to prevent slipping. I also include sunscreen and a lighter! Be safe! If hiking alone please make sure you let someone know where you went and when you should return!
  • Should I bring a map?
ALWAYS bring a National Geographic Trails Illustrated Topographic map! Plan your hike and do not rely on having service on your phone to give you directions in the wilderness.
  • Do you have other hiking tips?
If out for the day check the time you left the trailhead. Time goes by very fast when you are hiking or biking. Have a plan. Be nice to others! The trails are for all of us. Pick a trail that fits to your desires.
  • Have you had an encounter with wildlife?
I have seen more wildlife in Evergreen then I have ever seen on the trail. I feel the wildlife do not want contact with you. Surprizing any animal is a problem along with getting to close to babies of any species. Make sure you are prepared to come across wildlife and reresearch the proper techniques to protect yourself.
